Weedeater Featherlite Model FX26SC

Trimmer shaft will not stay in locked position so trimmer head does not spin. I can occasionally get it to stay long enough to do some trimming but when I stop it will not work again. How do I fix this?

my advices is carburetor adjustment. It’s written more in Rita’s answer, the last post at the bottom of this page.
