Weedeater Featherlite FL20 won’t start

Hi,

I have a Weedeater Featherlite FL20, it gets flash, and its priming bulb is also full. I have dried out its cylinder in order to ensure that it is not waterlogged. Weedeater is getting gas directly into a cylinder however; it fails to fire. After trying all the possible things, I am unable to make it work. Need your suggestions.

Regards

James

Hi James, dual stroke motors generally have three reasons when they failed to start like gas, compression, and spark. Keeping in view the above-mentioned description, I guess you Weedeater have a compression problem. While cranking over dual stroke motors do not loose air. Well, you can clean the air filter and muffler cover. Do check the compression as well by simply pulling the Weedeater off a ground where you are working with the help of starter cord. You can have a low compression when the Weedeater drops easily from its particular weight. It is always better to call a qualified mechanic for conducting the compression test.
